Triads

Now it's time to move on to triads. As i stated before most guitar players learn barre chords and power chords when first starting out and there is nothing wrong with that, but after a while it can be very limiting. You will never out grow the power chord because of the sound they produce with a distorted electric guitar, but you should always be willing to expand your horizons.

These are all moveable and are used by top players such as Edward Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai just to name a few. We will start with shapes on the first three strings. All root notes will be circled as always.
